The Richmond 200 is the weekend of June 16th and 17th. Right now I am getting new paintings ready and other items set up as well. I am looking forward to the two day event as the Richmond Village Art Club has only ever done one day shows in June ( the father’s day weekend) but it will be a two day event in celebrating of Richmond’s 200 birthday.

Lot’s of events and activities going on for the whole weekend. The art show will have a variety of artist from jewellery, paintings, silk scarves, drawings, pottery, metal sculptures and fiber art. So, a little of something for everyone. Hope to see you out there!

I have always loved to draw. I may wonder from drawing to paint, but I always come back.  At this moment, I have started back to drawing. I’m working on a portrait for a family member then I have a commission waiting to do. 

I’ve decided to do a few art/crafts shows to get back into doing more commission portraits and maybe teaching some classes. It will be a busy fall but looking forward to it.

On June 17th at the Richmond Arena the Richmond Village Art Club will be having an art sale and show, along with the Richmond Craft people. We will be sharing space at the arena. It will be a fun filled day as the Richmond Village Association will be hosting differnt events within the Village. The will be something for everyone! We will be in the arena from 10am to 4 pm.

It was a wonderful morning as I was displaying my art work in the front entrance of the Chapter store in Kanata. Meet many people, sold cards and passed out flyers for the June 17th art show and sale in Richmond on June 17th.

Just letting you know I will be painting windows at the Chapters in Kanata May 24 and May 25th between 11:30 and 2:30pm. I will be painting at the Pinecrest location as well but will post date when I will be at that store. I’m painting Canada 150 images from items that Chapters sell.

Will be participating in the Cultural Show at the Earl of March on May 27th . The  art show runs from 12pm to 8:15pm. I will be in the OWAA booth from 1 to 3 and in the Richmond Village Art Club from 3 to 6. Come out and support your local artist.

On May 13th I participated in an art show and sale at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex (GRC). It was a one day event, with cake and music. The public was encouraged to vote for their top with picks. I placed 3 paintings in the top 30  pieces of art work, out of 21 participating artist.

The lilacs and glass was placed the highest and will be on display at the Cultural show at the Earl of March High School in Kanata on May 27th.

It has been awhile since I’ve posted or wrote anything. Have been busy with school and that is finished. Now that I’m working full time, I have to fit my art work around that time. It is progressing slowly. I have a few new projects with different art groups that I belong to, as we are gearing up for shows in May and June. Here is an art piece I did a few months ago.
